Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) – Transport measurements
This cryostat is equipped with a Gifford-McMahon cryogenerator and capable to reach a base temperature of 4.2 K. Maintained by a structure on wheels, it can be placed, first, inside the FTIR spectroscope, in order to spectrally characterise the samples at cold temperature. A second configuration, the cryostat is placed above an optical table to realise transport measurements under infrared excitation. The optical area have 4 windows made of Zinc selenide (ZnSe) well-suited for applications in the middle infrared range. 3 electrical outputs of coaxial cables (SMA) give the possibility of radio-frequency measurements. 4 Thermometers and heaters give the possibility to regulate the sample’s temperature over a wide range 4.2 K – 300 K.
